I was given my first camera at age seven and by the time I was in my early teens I was processing and printing film in my bedroom closet! I've had careers in science, aviation, boat building, and writing but photography really has been a life-long passion and career. I have embraced the rapidly evolving technology because it has allowed me to better express the world as I see it. That said, I only use Photoshop to save some otherwise great image from a distracting detail and make small corrections or improvements in Lightroom.

Getting these great images requires a lot of travel. I use a sailboat, motorcycle, bicycle, kayak and light aircraft. I've spent a lot of my life working in the outdoors, from the UK to the Yukon. Getting great images requires going the extra mile!
